The Golden City Collectors Association (GCCA) was formed on the 9th of June 1981 in Bendigo, Victoria, to support like minded enthusiasts follow their passion for collecting. The Association is a recognised collecting organisation and, as such, has a Chief Commissioner's approval for its members to collect firearms (With appropriate licence), imitation firearms, swords, daggers and other variants of edged weapons. The GCCA has grown steadily over the past 5 years with over 300 members across Victoria. GCCA supports all facets of collecting.
To work in a responsible and constructive manner with Government and Community to explore innovative ways to achieve the Association`s Aims and Objectives.
To promote and encourage a responsible preservation of collections of historical and antique artefacts for future generations.
To foster and promote a public awareness and importance to preserve our heritage and history for all time.
To preserve and promote a responsible maintenance and collection of Australian military memorabilia in particular and associated items in general.
To encourage responsible collectors to maintain and preserve historical and antique firearms.
To explore innovative ways of assisting collectors in the maintenance of their interests for the future.
